You might be wondering what could be in common between these three things. When we went on holidays to Singapore last October, I found a very cute set of stamps featuring a little squirrel, mushrooms and acorns. The stamps came in a box that opens like a little book. I simply could not pass by that little find and took it home with me.
I used these stamps a lot already. I also found another set like that with the cutest hedgehog ever. I made paper gift tags, stamped envelopes and cards, stamped it on fabric and embroidered on top. Just like that.
The other day I felt like doing a little bit of painting for a change. The stamps were near by. So I ended up stamping and colouring in, stamping and colouring in. I used proper paper for watercolours and watercolour pencils. I trimmed the tiny pictures and glued them on top of gift tags. Then I arranged some pretty fabric scraps around and stitched them in place. Snippets of lace and ribbon and I was done. Very simple, but I turned plain gift tags into a little special addition for a gift.
This is such an easy and fun project, that not only you, but even your kids would enjoy working on too. There are plenty of reasons you might need a gift tag or two especially with the Easter slowly approaching. Go get those stamps and start stamping! Happy stamping! Larisa xox
